Brazil, Algeria, Holland, Romania and some other countries of Europe also
participated.
Delegates at seminar were of the view that use of energy
sources was a fundamental right of world citizen. (The civilization holds up for
want of energy-economy dislocated. Handing over the entire power industry to
private sector in California resulted unsatisfactory, even worst. ENRON's
mismanagement in power Industry was discussed in details. ENRON, a multinational
American Company, exploited the third world countries just for their gain and
ultimately scrapped by declaring insolvent in final.
The energy market,
on being privatized in various developing countries, has deprived common poor
and middle class community to have the same for their need. This caused Economic
disaster. So lots of discussion held on proper energy marketing.
If the
profit is considered to be top priority, in power industry, the social structure
of the countries will be endangered.
The seminar adopted a resolution to
fight against IMF, WB sponsored privatisation in all types of energy sector.
