The BJP leadership and the Sangh Parivar were making public declarations that they will repeat Gujarat model throughout the country, after the victory of Modi-ism in Gujarat Assembly elections. The “organized massacre” of thousands of Muslims including women and children, destroying their houses and properties was part of this Gujarat model. Under the protection of the state administration this inhuman killings spree was organized by RSS, VHP and Bajrangdal. Lakhs of people had to flee to the relief camps in order to save their life. This situation created terror among the minorities all over the state. During the election campaign too the main plank of those BJP and Sangh Parivar  was to threaten them with dire consequences if they dare to vote against BJP. To quote “Mr Togadia   threatened Muslims if they dare to oppose them,   “they will have to live permanently in the relief camps.”  Modi stated that the relief camps are “child producing factories” and called upon the Hindus “to teach Muslims a lesson”.”Together with the Hindutva ideology anti Pakistan propaganda has been intensely carried out. “For  saving India Modi should be elected  to form the government”, etc.  In short there was no electoral freedom in the state of Gujarat and that is the model  they wish to push through in the country as a whole.  No constitutional privilege. No free elections. This is   Gujarat Model.

 The BJP, RSS and Vishwa Hindu Parishad, and the other Sangh Parivar outfits are gearing up their activities to rouse communal tension in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and other states picking up small issues including disputes against worshiping places of Muslims.

   A new situation has been created through the public declaration made by Shri Ashok Sighal  that they will start construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya in the so called “undisputed land” where the court prohibited any such construction not waiting for the court’s clearance.

             To facilitate this VHP’s attempt the govt. of India officially moved the Supreme Court for early disposal of the case about the “undisputed land” and the Supreme Court decided to hear the case on March 6^th.  Mr Vajpayee while addressing an election rally in Himachal Pradesh declared that “we are for a Ram Temple in Ayodhya” and “there was evidence of Ram Temple existed at the disputed site”. The Prime Minister was echoing the RSS line. It shows that they are out to implement the RSS programme in India.  In the presidential address in the Parliament too this RSS line is projected.  The President in his address called upon the judiciary to “expedite its work and give early verdict” on the Ayodhya case.  Besides saying that “ the Gujarat Assembly elections have strengthened democracy in the country.”  Thereby endorsed the butchering of democracy in Gujarat by Mr. Modi.
